Over 40 and Finding My Voice(s)…

I am a 40-something year old women who writes. I write all the time, mostly for work – emails, articles, business plans, ad copy. I also write poems and essays and occasionally, some semi-entertaining letters to my relatives. I have a pleasant, somewhat humorous, essay in the Knowing Pains book called “Answering the Call.” Most of my work is either very professional or pretty nice, semi-funny bits about my life growing up back east and being a mom of two juicy ripe children.

I’m Molly Rosen, editor of this new collection of essays written by women about this remarkable decade in our lives.This book started as a personal quest of mine when, on the eve of turning 40, I searched for a book written by real women like me  that could guide me as I moved into this next stage of my life. Finding nothing, I decided to write my own book. I put out the idea to my Working Mom’s Group and other friends and colleagues (who sent it out to their networks…) and finally to the world in a Call for Submissions.
